Clarence River BREAM Qualifier: James Howarth Success

James Howarth With His "Victory Cheque"
At the recent BREAM Qualifier held on the majestic Clarence River, Nordic Stage Team Member James Howarth managed to fish his way to 4th place in a very respectable field of 56 anglers. In his own words he was "stoked" with this performance as many of the big names in Australian Bream fishing were present. Not only did this placing secure James a place in this years Grand Final... But is the second grand final he has made it into this year (the other being the Kayak rounds). This diversity and quality of fishing at such a young age is surely a sign of great things to come!
A couple of the bream that helped James secure his placing...
Despite not having fished the Clarence extensively, James relied on his tried and tested northern tactics to secure his 4th place position. Starting the day early with his Nordic Stage Areal Sharpshooter he covered ground close to structure casting Zip Baits over distance to woo wily fish. As the day progressed and the fish moved further into cover he changed to his Nordic Stage Areal Jaeger to accurately place lightly weighed Z-Man Streakz right into tight areas relying on the accuracy of the rod to get it there, and then the backbone to pull them out.
Overall it was a great achievement and one the Nordic Stage family are proud of!
Looking forward to a couple of podium finishes in the GF's this year Jamesd!
